These Videos Are Really "Rare!"

The following are videos from 5 of Rare's most popular games. Each one shows a trailer of the game followed by the Completionist's review. The Completionist is a video game reviewer who has played the game, beaten it and completed all aspects of the game, and then has given it a review. He created a rating scale that recommends what you should do with each game. His rankings are as follows: Donate It, Look At It, Play It, Finish It, and Complete It. I hope you enjoy!

Donkey Kong Country was one the first games that put Rare on the map. This game is still loved today by many fans and is highly praised for its visuals and gameplay. It was unique when originally released and paved the way for more 2D platformers to come. Mario games may not be what they are today if it wasn't for this game.

In the Completionist's playthrough, it took him about 4 hours to play and discover 67 bonus stages, die 118 times, and gain 143 lives. Overall, the Completionist gave Donkey Kong Country a review of Complete It.

Goldeneye 007 was one of the original first-person shooter games ever made. It was based on the movie Goldeneye and was very successful and well received. This game was one of the best first-person shooter games of its time and is still great to this day.

In the Completionist's playthrough of Goldeneye, he died 75 times, played on 4 different difficulty levels, beat 20 levels, used 32 weapons, and played for about 22 hours. Overall, with Goldeneye 007, he gave it his Completionist review of Finish It.

Banjo-Kazooie, one of my favourite games of all time, is a platformer for the N64 and the Xbox 360. It is very similar to Mario 64 in many ways. However, it is also different in several other factors and has received a lot of praise from fans. It oozes charm with every step and is a really enjoyable experience. I hope that the Banjo-Kazooie series gets a resurgence and I am sure that I am not the only one who thinks this.

In the Completionist's playthrough, he gathered 900 notes, collected 100 jiggies, rescued 45 jinjos, found 24 extra honeycomb pieces, unlocked 12 achievements, and played for about 9.5 hours. Overall, with Banjo-Kazooie, the Completionist gave it a rating of Complete It.

Conker's Bad Fur Day is another 3D platformer for the N64 and is targeted to more mature audiences. Despite this, it is still a fun game with excellent platforming. However, while it may look like a kid's game, I can assure you that it is definitely not!

In the Completionist's playthrough, he played for almost 12 hours, died 39 times, and earned 1 million dollars (in the game, of course). Conker's Bad Fur Day recieved a review of Complete It.

Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts and Bolts is the last installment in the Banjo-Kazooie series to date and people have mixed opinions on it. Many players love it and hate it for many of the same reasons. Its basic premise is about building and driving cars. It is a good game if only looking at it as as a stand-alone entity. However, as part of the Banjo-Kazooie franchise, it is severely lacking.

In the Completionist's playthrough, he earned 109 trophies, collected 143 jiggies, used 1,600 parts, and had approximately 36 hours of play time. Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts and Bolts was given the lowest ranking on my list, receiving a resounding designation of Play It.
